Who we serve

What we don't do: retail single vehicles to private buyers outside China. That's the local dealer's job, and we work through local dealers rather than around them.

Who we are

FOBEV operates from Shanghai. Our principals include minority partners in a Shanghai auto retail network, which gives us direct factory allocation access for the models we export. We are an independent export intermediary — not a factory, not a national distributor, not a broker flipping other exporters' quotes.

How we're different

The typical Chinese auto exporter for small-volume international dealers has one of three problems. They're a broker reselling other exporters' stock with a markup. They're a factory-direct operation whose minimum order quantities exclude small dealers. Or they're a shop selling whatever happens to be cheap this week without continuity.

FOBEV is structured differently. Our partnership with a Shanghai retail network means we have a stable inventory window rather than opportunistic stock. Our export desk is small enough that you get the same account manager across your first, fifth, and fiftieth shipment. Our model lineup is curated — we choose which vehicles to represent based on export viability, not on whatever the factory wants to push this quarter.

Why "hidden" branding

Our catalog uses internal reference codes rather than specific brand names in public-facing text. The reason is regulatory: some of the specific channels we use to source vehicles for export require discretion at the branding level. This isn't about selling counterfeit or grey-market vehicles — everything we export is factory-original with full manufacturer documentation. It's about operating within the structural rules of our sourcing channels.

During qualified RFQ exchanges, we confirm specific brand, specific model, specific trim — in writing, in your sales contract. Brand is never unclear to our customer at the point of purchase. It just isn't pre-published on our public catalog.
