What we collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide through website inquiries, RFQ submissions, email correspondence, and WhatsApp or other messaging. This typically includes:

• Your name and the company you represent (if any)
• Business email and phone / WhatsApp number
• Target market, target vehicle category, target quantity, and other RFQ-related information
• Correspondence history with our desk

We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what's necessary to quote your RFQ. We do not buy third-party contact lists. We do not scrape social media.

What we do with it

We use your information to:

• Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotations
• Maintain a customer relationship if you proceed to a sales contract
• Coordinate shipping, documentation, and customs clearance
• Comply with export regulations, know-your-customer requirements, and sanctions screening

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not share it with other buyers or competitors. We do not use it for marketing unrelated to your actual interests.

Cookies and analytics

The fobev.com website uses minimal anonymous analytics to understand aggregate visitor behavior (page views, referral source, general geographic region). We do not use intrusive tracking cookies. We do not run advertising pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight, etc.) that would tie your browsing to external profiles.

Third parties we work with

To deliver export services we necessarily share specific information with specific third parties:

• Freight forwarders and shipping lines — for booking ocean freight, destination details needed
• Customs brokers — for documentation filings at both origin and destination
• Banks — for L/C and T/T processing
• Manufacturer allocation desks — for vehicle ordering and VIN assignment

These parties receive only the information needed to do their specific job — typically a subset of what you've shared with us. None of them receive your full customer file.

Data retention

We retain inquiry correspondence and quotation records for 5 years after last interaction. Customer records relating to completed sales contracts are retained for 10 years, in line with Chinese commercial law and international trade documentation requirements. Retention periods may be longer if required by specific market regulations or ongoing litigation.

Your rights

You can request:

• A copy of information we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of information that is no longer required for its original purpose (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdrawal from any email or messaging communications

FOBEV is based in Shanghai, China. Your information is processed in China. By contacting us, you consent to your information being processed in China.
