What we collect

Information you voluntarily provide through website inquiries, RFQ submissions, email, and WhatsApp/messaging. Typically:

• Your name and company (if any)
• Business email and phone/WhatsApp number
• Target market, target Geely/Zeekr model, target quantity, RFQ details
• Correspondence history with our desk

We don't collect sensitive personal information beyond what's needed to quote your RFQ. We don't buy third-party contact lists. We don't scrape social media.

What we do with it

• Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotations
• Maintain customer relationship if you proceed to sales contract
• Coordinate shipping, documentation, customs clearance
• Comply with export regulations, KYC requirements, sanctions screening

We don't sell your information. We don't share with other buyers or competitors. We don't use it for marketing unrelated to your actual interests.

Cookies and analytics

fobev.com uses minimal anonymous analytics for aggregate visitor behavior (page views, referral source, general region). No intrusive tracking cookies. No advertising pixels (Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight) tying your browsing to external profiles.

Third parties we work with

• Freight forwarders and shipping lines — for ocean freight booking
• Customs brokers — for documentation filings at origin and destination
• Banks — for L/C and T/T processing
• Geely Auto & Zeekr allocation desks — for vehicle ordering and VIN assignment

Each receives only information needed for their specific job — typically a subset of what you've shared. None receive your full customer file.

Data retention

Inquiry correspondence and quotation records retained 5 years after last interaction. Completed-sale customer records retained 10 years per Chinese commercial law and international trade documentation requirements.

Your rights

• Copy of information we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate information
• Deletion of information no longer required (subject to legal retention)
• Withdrawal from email/messaging

International data transfer

FOBEV is based in Shanghai, China. Your information is processed in China. By contacting us, you consent to processing in China. If you're subject to GDPR or similar, note China isn't recognized as providing "adequate" data protection under EU law — we handle data carefully but our legal framework is Chinese, not EU.
